This is not your typical progress photo. On the left is a photo from July 2012, on the right is a photo from Nov 2013. You’ll notice that I’ve gained some weight. What it doesn’t show you is the changes I’ve gone through, how I’ve grown and learned so much. I didn’t just gain weight I also gained strength and confidence.

Alright y’all let’s talk about gaining weight. After working all that time and losing it you end up gaining some back unintentionally. Sucks, right? Well shit happens. Can’t dwell on it. Just keep taking everything day by day.
I have mentioned that I gained weight but never actually showed the comparison. So here it is.

Okay, It isn’t the end of the world. It doesn’t make me a failure. I’m still the same awesome ass-kickin sass queen… just with a little more fluff.

It is important for so many of us to realize that 👉1. Weight and body appearance doesn’t really determine a persons health or fitness abilities. Although I’m chubbier now, I am much stronger than I was previously. I am capable of doing pull-ups, my cardio endurance has improved greatly and I’m more active in general. I eat a healthy and substantial amount of calories than I did when I was smaller. I also feel happier and more at peace with myself than before when I constantly focused on changes on the scale. 👉2. Self acceptance and body positivity are actually more important than you think. Slenderness does tend to appeal to many of us and you might even be thinking it’s the solution to nearly all of your self esteem issues. Chances are the issue lies with your mindset, not with your actual appearance. Gaining weight made me realize that my weight was never the actual issue, it was how I truly felt about myself. I lacked confidence because I lacked belief in myself. It had nothing to do with being “fat”. Pursuing the physique you desire is absolutely okay, just don’t base you’re entire worth and value on your appearance. You can absolutely happy and appreciate yourself. Hating yourself down to a size 2 is no way to live. 👉3. Life is too short for you to stop doing things you enjoy or want to try because you aren’t at your goal weight or “ideal body”. There is nothing stopping you other than yourself. Your mindset is the only obstacle you must overcome. Life should be throughly enjoyed. Laugh often, be positive, and love what you do. ❤️

I have always struggled with pigeon variations because I have a hard time with hip openers. Today I finally held One Legged King Pigeon, a pose I’ve dreamt about doing for quite some time now.
It’s amazing to learn what your body can do with practice and patience.

Awesome <3 Keep up the good work :)
